BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP

IN

ST. LOUIS REGIONAL LIBRARY NETWORK

 

 

INFOPASS

The INFOPASS program allows participating member libraries to send their patrons to other participating libraries to check out materials.

 

COOPERATIVE PURCHASING

This is a program that lists local and national vendors of library materials and supplies that offer discounts of 5 to 60 % to members only.

 

WORKSHOPS

The network holds three or more inexpensive or free continuing education workshops each year and members attend at half the cost of non members.

 

SOCIAL EVENTS

The network holds an annual dinner or luncheon meeting and social plus occasional open houses to tour libraries or after hour socials.

 

DIRECTORY DISCOUNTS

The Directory of Libraries in the St. Louis Area is published and updated annually free online access to member libraries.   In July 2010 this directory will be online password protected and free to SLRLN members.  Directory will be available to non-member libraries at a cost to be determined by Network Council in June 2010.

 

NEWSLETTER

The NETnews is published online to advise members of relevant activities and programs.  It also lists job openings, free give-aways, etc. 

ACCREDITATION AIDE

The membership in the network with access to the many collections in the St. Louis area has helped many small institutions obtain and retain accreditation.

Membership dues:

 To figure your dues use the following formula:

     Determine your operating budget: include staff, library materials,  supplies.

 

 

     Enter the amount of total budget here:         

     Number of full time staff:     

 

If budget is over $125,000, your membership dues are $120.

If budget is $25,001 - $125,000, membership dues are $90.

If budget is under $25,000, your membership dues are $50.
